About Me
I am primarily a C# Games Programmer, who has been working in the industry since 2017. I started as a Documentation writer for a Modding system for Plukit in early 2017, which became a part-time Programming position during 2018 and was eventually promoted to a full time Programmer position in early 2019.
In 2018, I also graduated with a degree of Games and Interactive Media from Queensland University of Technology.
Since I have started working, I have participated in 2 major projects, Staxel and its remake/port Staxel CE. I have also created a number of minor projects using both Unity and other custom engines.
I have always had a knack for finding and fixing issues. I have been known to be able to pinpoint an issue, and to start applying a fix for the issue before it manages to be written up formally as an issue. In my time programming, I have fixed thousands of issues, including from code that I had no hand in. I have also have lots of experience involving customer support, particularly with helping break down an issue and providing workarounds before the patch comes out.
As of April 2022, I am currently looking for work. If you are interested, contact me via the links in the sidebar/footer.
With the projects I have worked on, I have experience in the following areas:
- Multiplayer
- Animation
- Tools / Editors
- Dialogue / Story controls
- UI / Text Rendering
- And more.
I’ve also had experience working on the following platforms:
- Windows
- Mac
- Linux
- Nintendo Switch
My work process is generally as follows:
- Implement the feature as quickly as possible, in order to test if the implementation is ok.
- Iterate on the implementation while cleaning up the code.
- After fully implemented the feature, go back and read the code, rewriting problematic areas and checking for issues.
Check out my projects for more detail on the specifics of my role for each.
