Staxel

Staxel is a creative farming and village life game with a cast of quirky characters. Build your farmhouse, help villagers, take to the wilds to fish or hunt for bugs, and grow a variety of crops in your backyard. If you’re feeling social, you can even invite your friends over to share in the fun!

About

Staxel was created to be a relaxing farming simulator, that would also allow players to create the world as they wanted. It features an infinite world, full multiplayer support, and also heavily featured modding support.

Since the release of the game, Staxel evolved to have a more fleshed out cast, a more structured village, and many new fantastical areas for players to explore. The updates also helped flesh out other aspects of the game, such as variety in tiles and collectables.

It also gained improvements which made it easier for players to pick up and play the game, such as the completely redone tutorial and multiple improvements to how multiplayer handled quests.

Additional Information:

When I first joined, I mostly focused on improving the asset creation tools, but I slowly transitioned towards fixing bugs and crashes. Particularly anything caused by mods.

This transitioned into working on the main engine during version 1.2, and having a more central role in the following versions.

By the end I had edited and maintained most systems in the game.
